yeah it almost came to pass
putting up a good front
but it was bound to never last

Saying those sweetened words
hiding the teeth beneath
now emerging after hiding
in this room for far too many weeks

Almost feeling Optimistic
even a song of cheer
blasting from this Ipod
grinning from ear to ear

Endorphins kicking in
don't like these feelings
so awkward and alien
always cold in this skin

Trying to change
a new environment?
maybe just walking away
from heart felt words never meant...
