Spending the holidays alone
while the would-be boyfriend
trolls entries on Facebook,
re-sending them to me at 7am

Yes, I am political
a transformed Democrat
into a Republican,
the future looks decidedly grim

There is no higher ground
it was stomped to bits by politicians
with no moral fiber
in their soulless husks

Waging war with twisted words
forcing people to pick sides
trying to manipulate the truth into lies,
reality has become quite absurd

Believe whatever you choose
just don't force your point of view
seething with that contradictory mess
that you're so religiously accustomed to

If that offends you and triggers you
causing you to melt down,
well, the world will always produce
another generation of clueless clowns
